THE VARKEY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
GIVES BACK!

The primary mission of the Varkey Charitable Foundation is to provide food, clothing, shelter, and educational and medical assistance to the needy and to the poor. A vital part of this mission is to preach the saving grace of Jesus Christ to all people.

OUR PROGRAMS

Leprosy Colonies

Our primary focus for the past several years has been supporting two leprosy colonies in Kerala, India.  We assisted the patients in these colonies with clothing, beds, wheelchairs, water purification equipment, prosthetic legs, and other medical assistance. We also renovated the men’s residence in one of the facilities. In addition, we have also assisted old age homes, children's orphanages, and disabled.

GosPel OutReach

Provide assistance in Wyanad, Kerala, among the indigenous tribes of the land. We are working with Pastor M.P. Peter in advancing the gospel outreach in this area that not only improves the living conditions of the people but also will bring them to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

Feeding
Programs

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, a need was identified in Kollakadavu, Kerala, one of the local hometowns, by providing cooked food packages to a few hundred people once each week with support from a donor and other local volunteers.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

As a public charitable organization, we recognize our responsibility to be faithful stewards and to maintain integrity and openness in our financial practices. We are fully committed to fulfilling all governmental as well as Biblical standards. To this end, all of the Board of Directors have committed to serve the organization in a voluntary capacity and will not accept any salary or other remuneration from the organization.

If and when a fund-raising initiative is undertaken, we will clearly identify the purposes and programs to which donations will be applied. The Board will provide oversight to ensure that the donations are used for the purpose for which it is raised.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior who came into this world, lived a simple life, died on a cross, resurrected on the third day, and ascended to His Father’s presence in heaven. As such, Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation of lost and sinful soul. Repentance of sin through faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the help of the Holy Spirit.

As promised, Christ will return back to the earth at an appointed time with the shout of His archangel. At His coming, those who are dead in Christ will resurrect first and those who are alive and have a born-again experience in life will be transformed and will meet the Lord in the air. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as his / her personal Savior will be included in this rapture and will be with the Lord for ever thereafter.
